Welcome to QAC Stewardship
Welcome to the QAC Stewardship. We at QAC are committed to be Disciples of Christ. We allow the work of the Spirit in our lives allowing us to use our gifts (Time, Talent, and Treasure) as instruments in spreading the Gospel.
QAC Committed to Stewardship?
Stewardship in QAC is a way of life. It is a way of living each day in gratitude for all the blessings that God has given to us. The roots of stewardship can be found in the Bible, which tells us over and over that God is the Creator and Giver of all gifts. It is our responsibility to show our gratitude to God for these gifts, by giving back to Him the “first fruits.”
We do not own the gifts God gives to us. We are only here on earth to use those gifts to do God’s work.
Sharing our gifts and returning them to God means giving generously of our time, talent and treasure. We give to God by sharing with our Church and with those in need. Time and talent can be shared by becoming involved in parish life, volunteering and offering a helping hand.
Treasure can be shared by making a conscious effort to make a financial gift to God first, before we pay the bills and buy the things we want.
When we give to God first we are making a gift of faith, trusting that God will provide for our needs.
We are truly giving Him the “first fruits” just as God asked us to do in the Bible. Are you giving of your Treasure?
Financial Responsibility
At the June Community Meeting, the 2019-2020 Budget was approved for $245,137. The approval means that we, as a community, support our mission for this new year by committing to provide our financial treasure to make this a reality. When you update your family budget, consider adding a tip to what you are giving to QAC. Remember that 10% of our collections directly support our Social Justice Ministry.
How Generous Are You?
Do you give to God as God has given to you? Jesus taught us, Much will be required of the person entrusted with much and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.(Luke 12:48). Do you know what percentage you are giving away?
Tips for Giving
We all want to give back a faithful and generous share of our gifts to God. We know that giving back to God is just a small way to show our gratitude for all that God has given to us. We know that it feels good to be generous. Yet sometimes it is difficult to move from knowing to doing. Here are a few tips that will help you give in a way that will fill you with joy and satisfaction.
- Know what percentage of your income you are giving to God. To determine this, multiple your weekly gift by 52 (or the number of weeks you give.) Then divide this total by your annual salary. This is the percentage you are giving back. Are you happy with this number? Does it truly reflect your faith and trust in God?
- Consider whether you can increase this number. Ideally, 5% to QAC and 5% to all other charities. Some give more. Some give a little less.
- Once you determine what your weekly giving should be, make that the first check which you write each time you sit down to pay bills. Give to God first. Don’t wait and give Him just what is left over.
- As you place your gift each week think of something for which you want to thank God. Maybe it is your children, your home, your job, or any other special thing. Remembering to thank God for special blessings as you place your gift reminds you that your giving is actually a way to return some of the abundant blessings that God has given to you.
Have you consider a planned gift or tax-wise gift to our QAC:

- Add QAC as a Beneficiary
